18 Random Facts about our 18 month old!

Isabelle turned 18 months old this week! A whole year and a half! Time flies when you're having fun I guess! In honor of this occasion, here are 18 random facts about Isabelle (These are in no particular order):

1. Her due date was exactly 5 years to the day from the day that Ben's Father passed away. How cool is that? God is so good!


2. She was born 1 week early, on August 1, 2007.


3. She has always been a good baby. She started sleeping through the night at 9 weeks old. (Thank you, Babywise!)


4. She has now lived in 2 different states, and visited 7, and she's only a year and a half old.


5. She has been to the emergency room twice, and she's only a year and a half old. (What does that say about her parents??)


6. She loves to make pancakes with her Daddy on Saturday mornings. They make heart, star, and bear-shaped pancakes.


7. When Isabelle says "bear", it sounds like "beer". So at 8:00 this morning when she woke up she was asking for "beer". I think she needs to calm down a little.


8. Ben used to dangle her on his forearm when she was a baby, and she would fall asleep there. Because of this, one of the kids at church gave her the nick-name "monkey baby". I think the name fits pretty well because she climbs on everything now.


9. She has all of her baby teeth, and she's only a year and half old.


10. She loves her doggy, but can't say her name exactly right. Instead of "Zoey" she says "Zosy".


11. She loves to go outside and dig in the dirt, just like her Mommy.


12. She loves to read books. I could probably just sit around and read to her ALL DAY, and she would be happy.


13. She talks to herself. She tells herself "good girl" after she does something she was told to do, and she asks herself, "You okay?" , then says "yeah, it's okay" when she falls down, so I'm not sure what she needs me for.


14. She likes baby dolls. She tells them "shhh" then kisses them and puts them "ni-ni". (night-night)


15. She knows the words to "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star". Not the whole song, just the verse that says "up above the world so high". She says "up abo so high". Close enough for an 18 month-old.


16. She loves her extended family. She gets so excited about going to see Meme, Nannee, or any of her other grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.


17. She loves to laugh. If she hears other people laughing, she will start CRACKING UP, even though she has no idea what we're talking about.


18. Finally, she makes life so much more fun! Even though there is a lot of work involved in being a parent, the rewards are so much greater! We can't even remember what life was like without her!
