Labor Day Weekend '09

First of all, I just have to apologize for being such a bad blogger! I've been trying to take a little "break" from spending so much time on the computer, so that I can be more productive at home and get some "nesting" done to get ready for the baby, but now I'm WAY behind on blogging. I'm going to try to catch up this week...and try to be better about keeping up with it because I know your life just isn't the same when you don't get blog posts from me. :)

On Labor Day Weekend, we got to take a much needed trip to GA to see our friends who had an awesome baby shower for us while we were there! We got lots of good quality time with friends. (Although it is never enough.)

We stayed at the Lesters' house while we were there. Isabelle loves Ralston and Riley's toys. Here she is wearing the cool policeman helmet:

Fireman Riley:

That night, instead of trying to crowd all million kids into a table at a restaurant, we all picked up our own dinners and met at a local park so the kids could run wild. It was perfect.

Amber took this picture of Isabelle on the slide:
(All of the really cool edited pictures in this post were taken by Amber.)

Papa Steve and Mama Jan:

The Bramletts with Kirkley, the youngest of their 18 kids. (Just kidding).

Wayne and Auntie Meshaun:

Two of the redheads loving on each other:

The girls:

The shower was at Stacia's house Saturday morning and it was so cute! They did an owl theme. I had to get a picture of the tablecloth before they put all the food on it. Amber made it. Isn't she crafty??

The spread:

Closeup of the cake: it says "Whooo doesn't love babies".

This was taken after the shower: all the girls.

This banner reads: "Owl love you forever"

More owl stuff:

Opening presents:

In case you can't see it, this onsie says, "My mom is a fox".

The owl taggie blanket is another of Amber's crafty creations.

Saturday night we went to Burger King for Jack's birthday party.
Izzy thought Kirkley was very funny.

Enjoying some nuggets and fries:

Amber with baby Abigail:

Me and Abigail's Mommy, Andrea.

Abigail loves birthday parties. :)

and Kirkley loves french fries:
The Burger Queen:

and her Burger King:

She will let anyone pick her up if food is involved.

Isabelle and Anaiah: I think Anaiah is almost a year older than Izzy and yet Izzy is taller.

Ralston, Isabelle and Riley before church Sunday morning:

Sunday, again instead of going to a crowded restaurant for lunch, we had our own little "potluck" in the fellowship room at church and it was very relaxed. The kids could run and play while the adults talked.

Izzy found a cup to wear on her head:

The Shah family:

Now onto group pictures:
The girls take 1:

Take 2:

Take 3:

Finally!

The boys:

The whole gang:

We had such a good time, just wish it could have lasted a little longer. Hopefully it won't be another year before we're all together. Last Labor day was Amber's shower, this year was mine, wonder who it will be next year??
