Catching up (again)!

So I've gotten behind on posting pics of my baby...I have been a little obsessed with my new hobby of clipping coupons and chasing deals. (Thanks Amber!) More about that at the end of this post. Now onto the pictures....I found some old ones that were stored on the internal memory of my camera that I had forgotten about for awhile.

These first few are from a little thing we went to back in August. They had food and a live band at one of the local famers' markets. I love these B&W's of Isabelle with her Daddy...

This was shortly after she began walking, and we really hadn't thought about shoes, so she's walking around on the asphalt in her white socks. She was not shy at all...she loved walking up to people, and wanted to get as close to the music as possible. I can't believe how much she has grown just since August.

These next few are from a few weeks ago. We met Ben at a park near his work for a picnic lunch from Subway and then played on the playground for a few minutes.
Look at my big girl eating her own mini ham and swiss sub! (Yes, she ate the whole thing!)

Going down the slide

Static Electricity...
These pics are from one day last week. My next door neighbor started keeping kids in her home a couple months ago, and Isabelle and I have really enjoyed having someone to play with right next door.

Her and Jake were playing peek-a-boo around the tree:

Playing ball:

No, I am not nesting, (at least not that I know of), but my makeshift pantry shelf has been driving me crazy. It was supposed be a VERY temporary fix, as in a few weeks, and ended up being there for 7 months. (WOW, I can't believe we have lived in this house that long.) Since I have been stocking up on things at the grocery store when they are on sale, my sad little shelf would no longer do. I went to Big-Lots and used a 20% off coupon to buy a much bigger "temporary" cabinet.

Here is the "before" picture:
You can see in the lower right hand corner of this picture the culprit who has been taking my cans off the shelf.
(That's another reason why I needed something with doors!)
Before I took the stuff off the shelf and put it in this box, I decided to put Isabelle in there. She looks really happy about it, doesn't she?
Here is the "after": I wonder how "temporary" this cabinet will be? (Yes, there is fabric wrapped around the microwave. That is my sad attempt to make the kitchen a little more "colorful" until we get around to redoing it. Plus, it's one of those ancient ugly brown microwaves.)
One the best parts is that it has a lock on the door to keep mischevious babies out!
But the very best part is that it holds EVERYTHING, including the dogfood, and we have room to grow! (Thanks to my honey-bunny for putting it together for me.)
Now, onto my latest DEAL! I stocked-up on cleaning supplies at Walgreen's today! One of the websites Amber told me about, Money Saving Mom, did a post about these deals at Walgreen's, so I thought I would give it a try.
Here is what I got:
1 Scrubbing Bubble Automatic shower cleaner (retails for 24.99)
1 Scrubbing Bubbles foaming cleaner
1 Scrubbing Bubbles toilet gels
1 package of Shout wipes
1 bottle Fantastik cleaner
1 bottle Windex
1 can pledge furniture polish (with a free duster in the package)
2 tubes Crest toothpaste
With the sale prices only, I would have spent over $42 on all of this, but I had $24 worth of manufacturers coupons. (I printed most of them online, but got a couple from the Walgreen's EasySaver catalog from the front of the store.) Also, Walgreen's is offering mail-in rebates on all of these items this month, so I will get $16.50 in mail-in rebates back. Once I get those back, I will only have spent $3.55 on all this stuff! (and 2.10 of that was tax!)

Unfortunately, some of these sales ended today, but MSM has already posted new deals at Walgreen's for next week! Happy bargain hunting!!

Wow! You are so clever with all of your deals! I love your new pantry! You may nave noticed when you were here that we have a kitchen towel draped over our toater oven. This is because a loaf of bread was on it when it was on one time and the plastic bag melted all over the top of it. The plastic came off, but the picture from the bag did not! So, I totally understand the fabric on your microwave! :D

I need to look into the rebate stuff. I haven't gotten that far into yet. I think Suzy said she is getting like 60 bucks in rebates on a gift card. I can't believe it. I try to be super picky and only get stuff that we actually use.....isn't it so addictive???? I'd never thought that would be addictive.

Wow, you've been saving a lot of money lately. I need to start looking up these deals. I like your new cabinet. I can't believe how much Isabelle is growing. The pictures of her and her daddy are so adorable.

Okay...love the picture of Izzy on Ben's shoulders!! So sweet!!

And now I'm wanting to shop at Walgreens! I've never really bought anything there except on a whim...I do CVS more but I don't really pay attention to the 'deals'. You and Amber are starting to get me a little interested in this.

I love the picture of Isabelle on Ben's shoulders too. I really like how you have fixed up your pantry area. It looks so good. I might have to try that with the fabric. Our toaster oven is kind of scary looking.
I'm so jealous of you and Amber doing your coupons. I could never be that organized.
