Trip to Gatlinburg

This weekend I got to go with some ladies from church on a trip to Gatlinburg, TN. We left Friday morning, and got back Sunday night. When we first got there, we went straight to the outlet mall for a little shopping! I got some clothes for Izzy, a watch for myself, and did a little Christmas shopping as well. That night, we met up with the other ladies (there were 10 of us all together) at our cabin and had a spaghetti dinner at the cabin, then just relaxed in the cabin hanging out, being silly, and watching movies until we finally went to bed. The next morning we went out for breakfast, then walked around downtown Gatlinburg and saw the sights.
Here is a picture of everyone who rode in Sarah's van:
L to R: Sarah, me, Lisa, Kazia, and Lela (our preachers wife).
This picture was on the bridge outside of the Aquarium.
Sarah and I in the "outhouse".
(I was trying to come up with a witty caption for this one,
but I was straining to come up with something.)
We just had to stop and do an "Olde Tyme" photo. They let us take our own pictures while we were in the back getting our costumes on.

And here is the final picture: Don't mess with us!
That night we went to a really great place for dinner called:

It was a really cool place. There were several little shops, a pottery shop, and another little cafe all in the same "square". I highly reccomend that you eat here once if you go to Pigeon Forge.
This is the back of the restaurant:
After church Sunday, we stopped back by there to get a few pics:

And lastly, I leave you with a picture of the HUGE
cajun chicken sandwich I got at Chili's on the way back:
(They even brought out a knife to cut it up with)

So we survived all the shopping, and Ben and Izzy survived a weekend without Mama! He said that on Sunday afternoon, he had left the door cracked so Zoey could let herself back in. When Zoey pushed the door open, Isabelle started running towards the door and said "mama!" It brought tears to my eyes. I definitely missed her while I was gone. Everything reminded me of her. Gatlingburg would be a great place to take a family vacation (or a girls' trip!). I can't wait to go back!

I love the Old Mill! Corn Fritters, corn chowder....I was dealing with all that morning sickness and didn't get to fully enjoy my meal. I'm glad you got to go and have so much fun, and I'm glad you were happy to come back home.

Your new header looks great!! Izzy is just another child now!! She was so tiny last year :-) I remember holding her while we trunk-or-treated...I was so worried I would trip out there in that field...it was so dark!! Miss you guys and can't wait to see what miss priss is going to be this year!

Glad to see you had fun on your girls trip. It was probably good for you to get a break from Izzy even though you missed her. We went to Gatlinburg in Sept. but I still haven't posted the pics.
