12 Week Update and Thursday Thoughts

We had our 12 week baby appointment yesterday. It was a really short appt. All they really did was listen to the baby's heartbeat, but that was the first time we got to hear the heartbeat and this is the first appointment that Isabelle got to go to, so we took a couple pictures.

Izzy and Daddy watching the doctor look for the baby's heartbeat. Isabelle thought it was really funny that I lifted my shirt and showed my bellybutton.

The heartbeat was good and all my bloodwork from last time was normal.

We'll go back in 4 weeks!


Here is my 12 week belly-shot: I'm starting to get quite the baby bump already. I can still wear some of my regular tops, but it's nothing but maternity pants from here on out. Actually I've been wearing maternity pants for several weeks now.

I've been reading through the Psalms for the past week or so. I'm finding it to be a very comforting and encouraging book to read. I decided for my Thursday Thoughts(which I haven't done in a while) that I would just share some of my favorite verses from Psalms so far.

• 1:2,3-"But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper."

• 5:3-"My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, and I will look up."

• 8:3,4-"When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have ordained, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You visit him?"

• 16:11-"You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."

• 27:14-"Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, and He sall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!"

• 33:13-15-"The Lord looks from heaven; He sees all the sons of men. From the place of His dwelling He looks on all the inhabitants of the earth; He fashions their hearts individually; he considers all their works."

There are LOTS of other wonderful verses in Psalms, but these are just a few that have stuck out to me so far.
