Over the river and through the woods...

...to Grandma's house we went! On Christmas Eve, we had Christmas with Ben's family at his grandparents house in Pulaski. We literally went over rivers and through woods to get there! (Luckily, all the roads were paved, and we weren't riding in a one-horse open sleigh.) We had a great time visiting with the whole family.

Here's a picture of Isabelle with Daddy...

And one with Mommy...

There was lots of good food. Isabelle especially loved Great Aunt Phyllis's home-made mac and cheese...Yum!

Then she wanted to check out what was on Grandma Morris's plate...

Isabelle was definitely our after-dinner entertainment. Here she is dancing with Grandma's cane. I hope this doesn't indicate any future career choices...

Here she is trying to "con" cousin Cortney into giving her a piece of candy.

Telling Jokes...

After all that eating and entertaining, I guess she was tired, because she crawled up in the chair to rest for a minute...

Then decided to lay down for a minute on the pillow grandma Morris had laid out for her...

After we rested for a little while, it was time to open presents.

Here she is "helping" Great Aunt Betty with her presents:

"Don't even think about snapping that picture, Mom."

Aunt Betty got her this penguin that is almost the same size as her. She loves it!

Aunt Phyllis and Uncle Duane got her this toy vacuum cleaner, which she also loves. It sings a little song about how much fun it is to clean the house. I hope that sticks. :)

Now time for some family photos:

Here's one with Gpa and Gma Morris:

And one with Mommy, Daddy, and MeMe.

After we were finished there, we went to the nursing home to visit Ben's other Grandmother:

That night we went to church with Ben's mom, then came home and got into our Christmas pajamas and waited for Santa to come! (Pictures of that in the next post.)

Here is a video of some of our entertainment, and another career possibility for Isabelle:

Christmas Cuties

I am way behind on posting pictures! I'll probably be posting Christmas pictures for the next week...but first I wanted to post some pictures of my baby and her cute Christmas-y cousins! (say that five times fast.) They came over a couple of days before Christmas with my mom, and we got them all dressed up to take pictures.

This first one was taken at church a few Sundays ago...
And these are just a few of Isabelle in front of the tree...

Here are the Christmas-y Cousins:

Don't I have the cutest nieces ever?

Some bonding time with the cousins: I just want to mention how much Isabelle LOVES her cousins. I am so glad we live close to them now. When they came over, Izzy RAN up to them and hugged them over and over. She doesn't do that for many people...it was too sweet!

My Christmas Cutie checking out the ornaments on the tree:

That's all for this post! We had a wonderful and very busy Christmas, and I'll be posting lots of pictures later. Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

Random Sunday Pictures

This morning before church we thought we'd have some "picture time" since we had a few extra minutes. It didn't go quite as planned...

This first one is pretty normal...
You can't see her face in this one, but I still think it's cute the way she's looking at the tree:

Sliding toward the edge of the couch...

Trying to escape...

Now for some pictures with Daddy:

Ripping the bow from her hair in disgust:

Trying to get away...

Getting angry because she can't get away...

Upside down and still trying to get away...

Maybe Mommy will have better luck.

Replacing the bow in her hair...

Still trying to get away...

And now Mommy is cracking up....

Still angry...

She's getting away!

On the way into church, I snapped this picture of my "sweet angel" (can you sense my sarcasm?) walking into church like a big girl with her Daddy:

After church, we grabbed some lunch at a drive-thru, then went for a Sunday drive, while Izzy took a nap in the backseat. When we got home, she was in a much better mood, so I was able to get a couple of decent pictures...they're just a little blurry.

Maybe we'll have better luck next year. :)

Izzy wants some company!

Disclaimer: This is Ben.

So Tabby went out to get some Christmas shopping done. While she was out, me and Izzy also went out, and when we came home we just played around. I was upstairs getting some stuff and when I came back down stairs, I saw that Izzy had written on our blackboard.

I think this is Isabelle's way of inviting her aunt to come visit her for Christmas.
(No pressure Meg, she also said something about this being a "command appearence".)
