On Saturday, after all the kids had a nap, we went to see what was going on downtown. We went to the Market building for lunch. It used to be a meat market, but now it is a building full of neat places to eat. They've got Greek food, Japanese, Chinese, Pizza, Burgers, BBQ, Cheese steaks, and a plethora of other things. Oh, and don't forget the sweets. Anyway, it is a neat place.

Here's Riley enjoying a goldfish...

Then we went to the Science Museum.
I told you Isabelle would eat anything...even electricity...
Ben and Ralston checking out the hands-on fish tank.
The boys beating up a wooly mammoth
Larry getting eaten alive!

"and now over to our weatherperson, Sarah Lester..."

True Wuv...
That night, we ate at TGIFriday's and got some deep-fried green beans. (The Lesters had never experienced this fine dining before), then went up to The Roanoke Star on top of Mill Mountain.
Here is a view looking up at the Star...
Here is a view of "The Star City"

Ben and Isabelle pointing at something. (That's her new favorite thing to do.)
Mommy stealing kisses

The whole gang. (standing under the star)
Sunday we just relaxed and went to the mall for a little shopping...then Monday Ben had to work...but we went out and TRIED to have fun anyway. ;)
We went to see St. Andrew's cathedral.(we didn't get to go in...there was a funeral happening at the time.)
Then we went to Natural Bridge and went to Dinosaur Kingdom.
Here's Isabelle and I riding on baby brontosaurus(I think) The Mommy dinosaur was standing right over us.
All of us standing under some dinosaur bones.
Riding the baby tricerotops.
My little hatchling...

This is about the time that the batteries in my camera died...but we also went to Safari Park...which was really neat. There were all these camels, llamas, emus, and a variety of other animals sticking their heads in our windows...(a little scary). Sarah got some good pictures from that, but they are in Kentucky visiting family and won't be home till next week some time, so you may have to wait a while to see those pics on her blog.

Anyway, we had a great time, and hope the Lesters decide to come back to the mountains of Virginia real soon!

I have so much to say that I may make a COUPLE comments!!
First of all, did you almost not even recognize Sarah because she is sooo skinny now?!
Second, Allyson has that same 4th of July dress that Isabelle has on!
So Jealous!! You guys look like you had so much fun :-) I'm so glad Sarah and Larry got to come see you! Jack thought the dino pictures were too cool and wants to go there!! I told him that when we go see Miss Isabelle then we can go too! Love you guys and can't wait to see you at the end of the summer!!
Also!
I remember my parents taking me to Natural Bridge when I was little. I don't remember the Dinosaur part, though. Is that fairly new?
I love the picture of Isabelle in the hatched egg. Adorable!
Looks like you all had a wonderful time. I'm so jealous that we weren't there! ;D
How in the world did Stacia post her comment before I could post this one?!
Haha! I'm not sure how old dinosaur kingdom is...but I don't remember ever going there as a kid either...
We miss all you guys too...I wish we had a giant house so we could have everyone up here at once! You both know you're welcome to come anytime!
I love your pics, sorry I haven't been leaving comments. I haven't been able to get on a lot of the blogs. Looks like you guys had a spewey time. Even if there were no pics I'd know that you still had a blast! Noah would be in heaven over the dino place.
I see some of those pics and think to myself, "Sometimes I just really miss that Ben." Glad you guys had such a good time!
first of all, it looks like you had a darn good time and i don't think isabelle could be any cuter! secondly, welcome to the world of baklava--are you hooked? :)
Amber: thanks for keeping spewey alive. You are awesome.
Grace: I am TOTALLY hooked on baklava! I don't know how I went the last 26 years without it! :)
BTW: reading your blog has really inspired me to try more new foods, so thanks. :)
Look like you guys had a great time! I need to come up there now. I love all the scenery you have up there. Looks a lot better than what we have to look at down here in WR.
I am smiling so big right now looking at those pictures. We had such a great time with you guys. I miss you all ready. Thanks for everything.
