Chatter box Isabelle

Well I guess Isabelle has entered the "asking questions" stage, (or maybe it isn't a stage at all. I'm sure as they get older the questions only get more complicated.) She has started asking things like: "whe Da?", translated: "where's Daddy?" or "whe go?", translated: "where did it go?"
But her favorite question to ask right now is "wha iz dat?" Translated: "What is that?" You can't get through a story without her stopping you at least 20 times to point to something and say "wha iz dat?" She must be very inquisitive and enjoys learning new things. Either that or she just likes to annoy Mommy and Daddy. :) No, I'm just joking, I don't find it annoying at all! It is so much fun to have her communicating with us like that now. Here are some of the other things she is saying right now:

*I thought of a few more of her "words" today, so I'm editing this post:

No way! (one of her favorites)
Oh no!
whoa!
yeah! (not to be confused with "yay!")
happy(said while clapping hands)
"ree boo" (read book)
"jus" (juice)
ca-ka (cracker)
do-wa (dora, the explorer that is)
too (I haven't figured out what she's trying to say with this one, but she says it a lot.)
go, go, go!
mo (more)
misd you (said to our dog Zoey after she has gone outside and come back in)
*nee-nee (bannana)
*bee (baby)
*pay (play)
*pee (please-she doesn't ever say this unless I prompt her to.)
*ha-loo (hello)
*o-kayee (okay)
*a no (I know-said while whining for something)

And as you saw in the Thanksgiving Day video, she knows a variety of animal sounds like:
moo (cow)
baa (lamb)
nay-nay (horse)
woo-woo (dog)
ra-ra-ra (bear or lion)
meow
tee-tee (bird)
ssss (snake)
ss-k-ss-k (she's trying to say squeak for a mouse)

I'm sure there are a couple more but I can't think of them right now.

I just can't believe she is 16 months old already! In my header there is a picture of her from about this time last year, and I just can't believe she's the same child! Time flies when you're having fun I guess.

As far as Christmas decorations go for this year, I'm not even sure if it's going to be worth putting up a tree with a 16 month old around. I'm also keeping 3 other kids 2 days a week now. One of them is 6, one's 2 and 1/2, and one is 14 months. Maybe I could just get a small one and put it up on a table somewhere. Any advice from you experienced mothers??

Just beat her if she touches the tree.

Let me just say that Isabelle's question asking is NOT a phase. Here I am today, and I ask more questions than I ever did. Just ask my tired mother. I'm sure God's gonna send me one just like myself.
