Last Thursday, we met my mom at the mall so we could go see Santa Clause. Even though it was POURING down rain outside, we still had a good time. Izzy got to ride on the train...

And this one was a truck I think. We didn't put any money in this one, she just enjoyed sitting in it and pushing buttons.

I attempted to put her on Santa's lap. You can see her legs starting to curl up in terror already, and yes, there was screaming when Mommy let go.

This is the best shot we could get...looking at the big hairy man from a safe distance, in Mommy's arms only. :) That's okay, I figure by next year maybe she'll know that Santa brings her good stuff, and she'll like him, maybe, or maybe not until the year after that. We'll see.

Saturday night, our church had a "Dirty Santa" gift exchange. They had this big blow-up Polar Bear to put the presents around. Izzy thought he was pretty neat.

The girl holding Isabelle is Alexis. Isabelle loves her. She let her carry her around for a long time, and wouldn't even come to Mommy a couple of times. I'm just glad she found someone who she'll let hold her. Now if Lexi had a big white beard, it might be a different story...

This is Isabelle's friend from Cradle Roll, Riley. He is only 1 month older than her, and they are pretty much best buds. Yesterday afternoon, Isabelle walked around the house saying, "Riley, Riley, Riley!"

They had a good time playing blocks in one of the classrooms.

Since our fellowship room is not big enough to hold everyone, they had chairs lined up down the hallway.

I went before Ben, and I picked the heaviest present there was, and it turned out to be this HUGE flashlight, which Ben really liked. He opened this star with the Santa painted on it, which I really liked. Well, we had a little system going. Someone stole the star from Ben, so he just stole the flashlight from me, and I stole the star back. Everytime someone stole the star, we would just trade off the flashlight and get it back, until finally it was frozen, and we got to keep it. Sneaky, I know, but it was all in good fun!! I think everyone had a good time.

Love that last picture! This year's Santa picture will be one to remember!
I love dirty santa, we won't get to do it this year. So sad. But I'm glad you and Ben teamed up to get what you wanted!
Jack thought that last picture of Izzy was pretty funny!!
He wants to know if she is still coming after Christmas?? I can't believe he remembers me telling him that?!? We didn't get Santa pictures with Jack at the mall for about two years...
Good job at your dirty santa party!
Wow, Izzy is getting so big. That's so funny that she was scared of Santa. I've heard a lot of other mothers say the same thing.
Allyson likes Santa now, so maybe next year! So, you are coming after Christmas?! I didn't know! Oh, I can't wait! We have to have a girly get-together!
I love the last picture of Izzy! So much personality!!
Actually, I don't think we are coming now. This is the first year where we actually don't HAVE to travel, and we really haven't even had time to catch up from the last trip! So, maybe in the spring! I wish we lived closer!! :(
i'm glad she didn't rip your shirt off when faced with the scary bearded man... :)
meanwhile, i love her green pajamas. :)
That is the best post title ever. Although I was a little scared when I read it. Scared of Santa pictures are the best. What's up with this new Riley?
I think she's just rebounding from the first Riley. I wouldn't worry about it. :)
