This is the plot behind the church before it was tilled...that's my nephew Tanner on the mower in the distance.

Here it is after being tilled...
Some people planting things in the garden...
This is a more recent picture...I think most of these in this picture are beans.
My brother donating the "firstfruits" of the garden to the Rescue Mission.
My brother Don, sister Susan, and her friend Tabitha volunteering at the Rescue Mission.
I just want to ask you all to lift my brother and his food ministry up in prayer. He is hitting a few obstacles(one being that this kind of work doesn't bring in any income) and feeling a little discouraged. You know the verse that says, "the harvest is plenty, but the laborers are few"? Please pray that God will continue to bless this work, and that many people will be blessed by it, including my brother, and that it will help the church there to grow.

That's great what your brother's doing. People like that are such an inspiration to me. Can't wait to see you!
I am reminded of Paul and all of his trials. Your brother is doing a good thing. He will have his reward. Maybe not in this life, but in the next.
Love you guys!
Where is the name from?
I think ekklesia is the greek word for "church".
I know that I've heard it before, but I couldn't remember what it was exactly.
I'm drawn to the name.
I'm going to keep your brother and all the volunteers in my prayers. They are doing a great thing and I can't believe how huge that garden is?!? God will provide and bless him because he is doing wonderful acts of kindness and faith.
I know you are proud of your brother. I am really inspired by what he is doing. I will keep him and his ministry in my prayers.
