First haircut and trip to Walgreens

I know I still have one more Christmas post to go...but I just had a couple other things I wanted to share first.

I gave Isabelle her first haircut last night! I was hoping her bangs would grow to the side, but they weren't, they were growing straight down and hanging in her eyes all the time. So I just made two little snips, and now she has bangs! I think she looks so much older with them.

This is the best picture I could get last night: It was right before bedtime, so she was getting tired, and frustrated that I was taking pictures instead of reading books to her.
I had a great shopping trip at Walgreen's today! Here is everything I got:

A couple of the things I got earned Register Rewards, so I broke it up into two different transactions.
Transaction #1:
4 boxes Kellogg's cereal, on sale for $2.50 each, used $1 off coupon on each.
2 100ct Excedrin PM tablets, on sale 2/$10, used $2 off coupon on each.

earned $3 RR on the cereal and $5 RR on the Excedrin

Total was $12.25, payed $6.12 of it with the balance left on a gift card I got from doing Walgreen's rebates.

Payed $6.13 on my debit card.

Transaction #2:
3 150oz. containers of Nature's Bounty Flax Seeds and 1 120ct Flaxseed oil capsules, all regularly $10.99 each, on sale B1G1 free, used $2 off coupon on each, making them about $3.50 each.
1 Palmolive dish liquid, on sale for $1.79, used $1 off coupon from Walgreens ad, and 25 cent mfr coupon from the paper, making it 54 cents.
1 Reynolds wrap aluminum foil, used a coupon from Walgreens ad to make it 99 cents, then used a $1 off mfr coupon, making it FREE!
1 20ct Electrosol Gel pacs on sale for 3.49, used $2.50 off mfr coupon from sunday's paper, will also submit for Walgreen's rebate of $1.50, giving me an overage of 50 cents!
3 refill packages for my glade scented oil candle, on sale for $2.50 each, used mfr cpn for $2.50/2, and a mfr cpn for buy2, get 1 free, making 2 of them FREE!
3 cans progresso soup, used cpn from walgreen's ad to make them 4/5.00(1.25 each), also used mfr cpn for $1.10 off three, making them about 88 cents each.

Also used the $8 in RR I earned on the previous transaction, making my total for this transaction $14.53!! That's not bad considering I would have spent $44 on the flax seed ALONE at full price!

All in all, I only spent $20.66 out of my pocket. I'm pretty happy about that!

That's really good...but one question...What is flax seed? :-)

Oh...And Izzy's bangs look great, I know that picture was fuzzy but you can still tell that they are straight...that's the important thing!

This week was a great week at Walgreens! I did 2 transactions and spent $30 and saved $80. I love Walgreens. Who knew?

Flax seed is really good for your heart, and it's supposed to have anti-cancer properties. You can sprinkle it in your cereal, soup, just about anything or you can bake it into breads, cakes, and muffins, and you can't even taste it. My mom got me into using it. I'll only buy it when it's on sale AND I have coupons, though. I wouldn't pay full price for it.
