Ben's Boston Trip

Okay here it goes.....Ben's first post:

I had a business trip to Hartford, CT this past week, and I found out it was cheaper to fly to Boston and drive to Hartford, than to fly straight into Hartford. So on my way back home I managed to mark a couple of things off my "List of things to do before I die": Visit Boston, MA, See a RedSox game, and Visit Fenway Park!

Boston was great... I made it to my hotel and headed out to walk to Fenway, I went 1.6 miles in the wrong direction! After I figured it out one of the guys who managed the subway system got me on a train for free!!! Bostonians were very friendly, they all inquired as to where I was from, probably because I didn't speak their exact dilect of english...Imagine that!

I had an excelent seat in section 40 of the outfield, I was able to get some pictures that hopefully show how awesome an experience it was.

Since I got lost I arrived at the game 30 minutes late... in the bottom of the 1st inning I sat down and the scoreboard showed 10-0... I couldn't believe it. then right after I looked at the scoreboard David Ortiz hit a 3-run homer right into my section! Words can't explain how awesome the game was... We ended up winning 19-17.

The one and only Fenway Park

Jason Papelbon

Kevin Youkillis holding Marlon Byrd at first base

J.D. Drew, Coco Crisp and Jason Bay during a pitching change.

David Ortiz who had 2 3-run Homers in the First Inning.

Jason Papelbon staying warm before he was put in during the 9th inning. My seat was right behind the RedSox bullpin.

And for Mrs. Phoebe...... A couple of Josh Hamilton Pictures...

Congratulations on your first post. Be careful, it's addicting.

I LOVE BOSTON! It's one of my favorite cities in the US. You and Tabby have to go in the fall.

My boys are looking forward to seeing you!

oh, ben, you're a red sox fan? sacrilege! :) i was fortunate enough to visit fenway a few years ago and it was one of the most amazing places i've ever seen--i particularly enjoyed the accents floating around. i'm glad you got to check that off your list, and i'm glad you've decided to break into the world of blogging. :)
