You say tom-ay-to, I say tom-ah-to

However you like to say it, all I know is, we have a lot of 'em, and apparently, our daughter LOVES 'em.

I had this bag of tomatoes from our garden sitting on the fireplace with the intention of taking them to someone at church.
After dinner tonight, we were just chilling out in the family room, I was on the computer, and Ben was watching Andy Griffith. We look over at our daughter and this is what we see:
She had gotten one of the tomatoes out of the bag and was DEVOURING it whole.
mmmmm, juicy!

This was all that was left of the poor mater when she was done with it....
And this is the evidence of how good it was!
As I was uploading the pictures for this post, I was thinking, "I really should be doing the dinner dishes or cleaning something instead doing this post" but you know what? In 20 years, it's not going to matter that I did or didn't do the dishes, it's going to matter that I can look back on the fact that my one year old was relishing eating a tomato that was home-grown in our own backyard.
Isn't life SWEET??

That was precious!! She was really enjoying it!

You have now entered the 'can't leave anything out' stage! The only thing I was worrying about was your new carpet. That could have been a nasty stain if you hadn't caught her when you did :-) I'm so glad you posted instead of doing the dishes!
Oh, and my dad will love the fact that Ben was watching Andy...that's one of his all time favorite shows.

If you still have tomatoes by next weekend you HAVE to bring some! There is nothing better in the whole wide world!

Yes, we watch Andy almost every night. Ben watched it everyday growing up, but I didn't, so sometimes he'll spoil the ending for me, and it makes me sooo mad!

I'm sure I'll have some tomatoes I can bring with me next weekend. and maybe some corn too!

Oh I love that post. It is just too cute/funny. Those dishes will be there in the morning. It was definitely worth it.

That's so funny. I guess you can't leave her alone with anything now. Can't wait to see you and little Isabelle.

I love watching Isabelle grow up on your blog. I may never get to meet you, but you are in my prayers, just as Stacia & her family.

Many blessings!
