First Birthday Pics

The original plan for Isabelle's birthday party was to go to the lake on Saturday where my family was camping, and have Ben's family meet us there and have a little party at the camp site. Well, you know what they say about best laid plans.... It was POURING down rain when we got there, with no sign of it slowing down. So we had to come up with a plan B. We went to the local McDonald's and asked if we could take over a little section of their restaraunt for the party, and they were very accomodating. So we all just ate hamburgers and french fries instead of grilling hotdogs. It actually turned out even better than if we had done it outside, I think, since we forgot to bring the hotdogs. :/ (which also means that I'll be eating hot dogs for lunch everyday this week.) :P

Here a few pictures of family...
(I wish I had gotten more pictures of her with family,
but I guess I was distracted by everything else going on.)
One with the cousins, Ainsley and Sienna.

Great-Grandma Morris

Grandma (Ben's mother)

My family: (Tanner, Chris, Susy, Michael, My mom, Tabitha, Ainsley, April)

Here is the cake I attempted to make on my own:

it's cupcakes formed into the shape of a bigger cupcake.

The Birthday Girl enjoying some french fries and chicken nuggets.

(Suprisingly, she actually kept the hat on the whole time.)Cute little grin...
Opening presents...

Eating some cake...

We didn't have Isabelle's birthday party until Saturday, the day after her birthday, but we did want to go ahead and sing to her on her actual birthday, so after she was done eating her greeny beanies, we brought out a little cake and sang to her.

Please ignore the fact that we are way off key in the first video...that's what happens when my husband leads singing. (I love you Honey.)

Here she is speaking in tongues...

This one is singing "Happy Birthday" at Mcdonald's on Saturday.

Enjoying some cupcake...

(this is broken up into 2 separate videos.)

The rain actually did let up during the party, and we were able to go to the lake and swim for a little while. (I'll post some of those pictures in another post.)

I think Isabelle had a wonderful first birthday! Thanks to all of the family who came and helped make it so special! We love you!!!

I LOVE her in yellow, it makes her hair pop!

I totally dig Ben's singing, both my kids ran over to the computer when they heard it.

She looks like such a big girl eating her nuggets and fries!

Aww...Isabelle looks like she had a really good time at her b'day party. I want to watch the videos but I'll have to wait til I get home...they're blocked at work. :-( I love the cake. You did a great job, Tabby. Tell Isabelle "happy birthday" from me. I can't wait to see her!

Okay...those were the most precious videos ever!! I don't think I've ever seen a one year old go at a cake like that!! Too funny! She was really enjoying every bit of it :-) The cake was adorable! You did a great job! I have a happy birthday gift for her, but I'm going to wait and let her open it when you guys get here! I'll be sure to get her a cupcake too, she'll probably like that more than the gift :-)

I got a run-down of the party from April & Chris on Sunday. Sounded fun, and like it turned out great despite the change of plans! We should have tried to get together this summer! Why didn't I think of that before now?! Let me know the next time you're in C'burg - if you have some spare time, of course. :o)

You are sooo blessed to have such a beautiful baby girl. Isabelle is a doll and reminds me alot of my own grandbaby, Libby.

Charlie's 1st birthday party is on Saturday and I can't wait to see him with his cake. I couldn't stop laughing looking at Isabelle's video, she obviously LOVES baked items with lots of icing! She is my kind of girl!!

I started playing the first video and Mike yelled from the living room, "What is that!?" "It's Ben singing 'Happy Birthday' to Isabelle," I replied. Tell Ben not to quit his day job!

I love your cupcake cake! You're so talented!

I hope she got her gift from us.

We all know I can't sing!!! Including myself. This video was just more proof that I should't be leading singing on Sundays!!!!
